Merge PDF

Combine multiple PDFs into one document — reorder files, merge in browser, 100% private.

Use Cases

Typical scenarios for Merge PDF — see if it fits before you start

Thesis & defense pack

When your thesis is split into cover, declaration, TOC, chapters, references and appendix PDFs, Merge PDF lets you drag to reorder visually and use page syntax `1,3,5-7` to interleave, then merges locally via pdf-lib in your browser with no upload — ideal for unpublished data, producing a single submission-ready file without missing pages or wrong order.

Scanned contracts & annexes

Paper contracts scanned as separate PDFs for signature pages, annexes and invoices must be re-assembled in legal order. Merge PDF supports multi-select and drag reorder, preserves vector text and seal images, reports the exact file/page on failure, and can chain to watermark/encrypt — all locally, meeting legal needs for integrity and privacy.

Expense receipts & itineraries

Finance needs to merge invoices, train tickets and hotel itineraries into one PDF for archiving. Merge PDF handles dozens of files, auto-sorts by name or drag order, shows total pages and size before/after, and can compress to under 2MB for OA limits. Files are read via File API and memory clears when you close the tab, safe for sensitive amounts.

How to Use

  1. Upload — Click or drag PDF/images to the dashed zone. Multi-file and large files (<100MB per batch recommended) are read locally only.
  2. Configure & process — Set pages, angle, password or quality, then hit “Calculate / Process”. Merge PDF runs via WebAssembly and pdf-lib in your browser — no server queue.
  3. Preview & download — Check pages, size and thumbnails on the right, then download. Batch jobs download one by one; tweak and re-run if needed.

Tips & Notes

  • Page syntax: Use 1,3,5-7 or 1-10,15; empty means all. Out-of-range pages are ignored.
  • Privacy & size: Everything runs locally — no server upload. For large files, process in batches of 50–100 pages.
  • Fidelity: Fonts and vectors are preserved where possible. For scanned PDFs, run OCR/searchable PDF first, then convert.

자주 묻는 질문

How to ensure correct page order? Cross-file page-level reorder?

File order is final order; drag chips to reorder and DataTransfer incremental add is supported. For cross-file page-level (A 1-3 + B 5-7), extract ranges first, then merge in new order. For 200+ pages, preview thumbnails in “Organize PDF” before merging.

Merged file too large to upload?

Check total pages/size in chips before merging. After merging, jump to “Compress PDF” from result; or pre-compress singles (10MB → 2MB) then merge, keeping total 5-10MB for archival.

Will bookmarks/forms/signatures be lost?

Browser merge via pdf-lib copies page content and basic annotations; complex bookmarks, dynamic forms and digital signatures may need desktop support. Preview after merging; add page numbers/toc or rebuild bookmarks in Acrobat if needed.
