How to Use

  1. Upload — Click or drag PDF/images to the dashed zone. Multi-file and large files (<100MB per batch recommended) are read locally only.
  2. Configure & process — Set pages, angle, password or quality, then hit “Calculate / Process”. Protect PDF runs via WebAssembly and pdf-lib in your browser — no server queue.
  3. Preview & download — Check pages, size and thumbnails on the right, then download. Batch jobs download one by one; tweak and re-run if needed.

Tips & Notes

  • Page syntax: Use 1,3,5-7 or 1-10,15; empty means all. Out-of-range pages are ignored.
  • Privacy & size: Everything runs locally — no server upload. For large files, process in batches of 50–100 pages.
  • Fidelity: Fonts and vectors are preserved where possible. For scanned PDFs, run OCR/searchable PDF first, then convert.

How to set open password and permissions?

Protect PDF rewrites header locally, sets open password and “no print/copy” permissions with strength feedback — for quotes and contracts. Preview permission marks in result; store password in manager to avoid needing “Unlock PDF” later.

Forgot password?

If you set it, use “Unlock PDF” with correct password to clear restrictions — for legal redistribution. If encrypted by others without password, cannot crack locally; contact owner per privacy.

Size bloat or compatibility?

Almost unchanged — only header adds encryption dict, compatible with Acrobat, Chrome, Preview. For archival, keep unencrypted backup and consider “PDF/A” for stability — for enterprise.
